THE POWER OF A GESTURE
– SOLIDARITY GESTURE –
From an early age, Jean Gailhac showed an immense heart, revealing himself to be particularly sensitive and attentive to the reality surrounding him. Always generous, and in fidelity to his infinite love for God, he made himself his servant and sought to find the essence of his vocation as a baptized Christian in his actions, responding to the most pressing needs of children and women. This vocation gave meaning to his life, causing him to risk working to improve the condition of the weakest and marginalized “so that all may have life”.
With Gailhac, we learn that every gesture must come from God, and from Him comes the meaning of our life, which gains a new dynamism when we give of ourselves and are open to the needs of others, especially the most vulnerable.
The life of our Founder challenges us and causes us not only to reflect on our own actions, but also to experience the cries of humanity that impel us to commit ourselves to the defense of justice and to reach out to those who live in vulnerable conditions.
Today, following the example of Gailhac and in fidelity to the Mission of the Institute, we are encouraged to become involved in a Solidarity Gesture that responds to the most pressing needs found in our local communities.
Committed to the transformation of our world, think about a Solidarity Gesture and share it.
